In 2010 Arterie was the promoter of the NINA’S PROJECT, an action created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Anton Chekhov. Actors and directors from all over Europe met at Moscow’s railway station on the evening of 27th January: a train carriage was waiting for us, which took the caravan of artists to Yelets throughout the night, to retrace the journey taken by Nina Zarečnaja, the young actress in The Seagull. On 28th and 29th January, a statue for Nina was laid in Yelets followed by two full days of theatrical performances by Russian guest artists and the international group, led by Jurij Alschitz. The event was realised in cooperation with the GITIS (Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) in Moscow and the Russian Ministry of Transport.
